New features but plagued with technical problems
WWE 2K20 feels noticeably sluggish compared to previous entries, with unresponsive controls and stiff animations making even basic moves feel frustrating. The game also introduced several new glitches, from characters floating in the air to wrestlers warping through the ring. These bugs, combined with broken hit detection and AI inconsistencies, make the in-ring action feel chaotic for all the wrong reasons.
Despite its flaws, WWE 2K20 attempted to bring some new content to the series. The MyCareer mode features a fully voiced storyline with both male and female protagonists, adding some variety to the usual single-player experience. The WWE 2K Originals mode introduced supernatural-themed DLC packs with unique arenas and match types, but these felt like distractions rather than meaningful additions. Hair physics and clothing behave erratically, further contributing to the game’s lackluster presentation. Commentary remains repetitive, and while the soundtrack features a decent selection of songs, it does little to enhance the overall experience.
